'Alice' A statement coffee table.
'Alice' definitely makes a statement with her gold and blue hand painted filigree design.
'Alice' was carefully sanded down and prepared, then the top surface was painted in a duck egg blue chalk furniture paint.
The Queen Anne legs were painted in a contrasting blue chalk paint. The table has been complemented with highlights of gold.
Once the table had received several coats of paint, it was left to dry for several days. She was then sealed with a Hemway lacquer to ensure she is hardwearing and fit for purpose for many years to come.
The dimensions of the coffee table are as follows:
Length 45" (114cm)
Width 17" (69cm)
Height 16" (41cm).
Please remember - 'Alice' has had a previous life and you may find signs of wear because when I work on individual pieces of furniture I try to ensure I maintain their age. Also there may be slight imperfections due to the nature of the individual craft being used during the refurbishment process which is completely carried out by hand. I believe both of these things to be features that add to the character and uniqueness of each piece I recreate.
